BYD's New Large SUV, Denza N9 Official Images Released: 5.3 Meters Long, Set to Debut Later This Year

Following the launch of the Denza Z9 GT, the Denza brand is set to introduce a new model: the Denza N9. This new vehicle is positioned as a large SUV and will be available in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid versions. It is expected to make its official debut later this year. Recently, the first batch of official images of the vehicle has been released.

The front design of the Denza N9 has a high level of recognition, featuring a rugged and wide profile. The top part of the headlights is a straight line, while the lower outer sections are slightly angled downward. The headlight assembly contains three rectangular light sources, with a light strip at the bottom. Additionally, a strip of lights on the upper part of the front bumper echoes the design. The center of the front face features a large, closed-off design, and C-shaped fog light frames on both sides of the bumper house laser radars. There is also a laser radar module at the top of the windshield.

The side profile of the vehicle exhibits a stable and straightforward design style, with smooth and flowing lines. The body length of the vehicle reaches 5.3 meters. In terms of details, the D-pillar trim is broad and decorated with the car's logo. The Denza N9 is equipped with electronic rearview mirrors, and there is a chrome trim connecting the front fender and door under the mirror. The wheel arches feature double-layered lines, and the lower part of the door has a fully enclosed structure. Additionally, the vehicle comes with electric running boards.

From previously leaked images of the actual car, the rear design also shows a high level of distinctiveness, particularly in the taillights. The horizontally arranged taillights are long, almost stretching across the entire rear, but the middle section is divided by the car logo. Inside the taillight cluster, geometric light sources are used, creating a very striking visual effect when illuminated.

The new SUV will feature BYD's latest Yi Sifang technology, supporting functions such as independent rear-wheel dual-motor steering. It will also come equipped with an air suspension system. The powertrain for the hybrid version is expected to be the same as the Z9 GT plug-in hybrid, consisting of a 2.0T engine paired with three electric motors.
