BYD Launches Two New Cars, Expected to Roll Out its 10 Millionth NEV by the End of the Year

On September 23. BYD unveiled two new models: the Seagull 05 DM-i and the second-generation Song Pro DM-i. The Seagull 05 DM-i comes in four versions, with prices ranging from 112.800 RMB to 142.800 RMB. It boasts a combined fuel and electric range of up to 1.400 kilometers, with a low fuel consumption of just 3.79L per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions.

Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD's Ocean Network Sales Division, introduced the Seagull 05 DM-i, highlighting its DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, which integrates practical features such as smart navigation and collision warnings. The vehicle's full-scenario digital key supports multiple unlocking methods, including an NFC car key compatible with iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS. Additionally, the new model supports intelligent power on/off features.

The second-generation Song Pro DM-i also comes in four versions, priced from 112.800 RMB to 142.800 RMB, and is equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM technology. It offers a low fuel consumption of 3.79L per 100 kilometers and a combined fuel and electric range of over 1.400 kilometers. Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD's Dynasty Network Sales Division, stated that the second-generation Song Pro DM-i is BYD's most fuel-efficient SUV.

From the start of the year, with the slogan "Electricity Costs Less Than Fuel," to the mid-year launch of the fifth-generation DM technology, BYD has been continuously lowering the purchasing and operating costs of its new energy vehicles through technological innovations driven by its vertical integration strategy.
