Hello everyone, welcome to today’s episode of "Li Talks Cars." I'm your seasoned car enthusiast, Li. It's time for us to talk cars again, and when it comes to BYD, I want to start by saying: BYD is truly impressive! It's not an exaggeration to call it the pride of domestic brands. Whether it’s technology or sales, BYD leads its competitors. With the release of the 2023 BYD Qin Plus, how does this advanced model perform? Let’s dive in and find out. Buckle up, and let's hit the road!
The 2023 BYD Qin Plus Champion Edition DM-i 55KM Surpass Model is priced at 115.800 yuan and is classified as a compact car. In terms of exterior design, the Qin Plus DM-i 2023 Champion Edition remains largely consistent with the current model. The Dragon Face design language is already well-established, but there are some new interpretations in the details, such as the unique arrow-feather LED headlights. Coupled with the large black aerodynamic fins, the front end packs a strong visual punch.
The interior has seen more significant changes, mainly in terms of configuration upgrades. For instance, the comfort of both the front and rear seats has been enhanced, with added heating for the driver and front passenger seats, and an electric adjustment function for the front passenger seat. The dashboard has been upgraded to 8.8 inches, and the smart network system has been updated to the latest DiLink 4.0 (4G). The 10.1-inch central control screen adds a modern tech feel to the cabin.
When it comes to features, this car performs well. It includes five airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree panoramic camera, all contributing to enhanced safety. On the driving side, there’s cruise control, three driving modes, remote parking, automatic parking, and hill-start assist. The interior also features wireless phone charging for the front seats, satellite navigation, road condition display, in-car Bluetooth, voice recognition, internet connectivity, 4G network, OTA, and wireless hotspot capabilities. Other conveniences include keyless entry and start, remote control via a mobile app, and automatic climate control.
In terms of space, the car measures 476518371495mm, with a wheelbase of 2718mm. The space inside is impressive, especially considering it’s a compact sedan. The interior doesn’t feel cramped, and the flat floor adds to the comfort. The seats are also quite comfortable. As for performance, the car is powered by BYD’s DM-i super hybrid technology, with a 1.5L engine dedicated to plug-in hybrids, an EHS electric hybrid system, and a DM-i-specific blade battery. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, has a fuel consumption of just 3.8L per 100 km without charging, and boasts a total range of 1.245 km. The car delivers consistent thrust, which is remarkable for a vehicle priced at 110.000 yuan.
In conclusion, here’s my summary: regarding the 2023 BYD Qin Plus Champion Edition DM-i 55KM Surpass Model, I believe this car is quite strong. 1. It has low fuel consumption. Even without a charged battery, it only consumes about 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers. When fully charged and in hybrid mode, fuel consumption is around 2-3 liters per 100 kilometers. 2. It has strong power. The power output of the PHEV model is more direct, as both the motor and engine can output power simultaneously. 3. The car is packed with features. Almost all the features you might need are included, and the interior looks upscale, with trendy color combinations. Overall, at this price point, there’s really not much to complain about—it's definitely worth considering.
