On August 19. BYD officially launched the 2025 Song PLUS electric vehicle, offering three models: the 520KM Luxury Edition, the 520KM Premium Edition, and the 605KM Flagship Edition, with prices ranging from 149.800 RMB to 175.800 RMB.
As an upgraded version, the 2025 Song PLUS EV has seen improvements in aesthetics, intelligence, and overall configuration. The entire lineup now comes standard with over 16 technological features.
The 2025 Song PLUS EV adopts an "ocean aesthetics" design language, giving the vehicle a more dynamic and fashionable appearance. The front features a closed grille, with sharply defined LED headlights flanking the raised lines of the hood, enhancing the vehicle’s distinctive look. Additionally, the air intakes on both sides of the front bumper contribute to a sporty feel.
The side profile of the vehicle is sleek, with a slightly upward-sloping waistline running from the front to the rear, accented by chrome trim and black elements, adding to its modern vibe. The car is equipped with 19-inch dual-tone wind turbine wheels. At the rear, it features a full-width LED taillight design, paired with an illuminated rear emblem that provides high visibility at night.
Inside, the 2025 Song PLUS EV offers a wraparound cockpit design. The interior color scheme combines deep dawn red with sandstone beige and is enhanced by a 31-color ambient lighting system, elevating the overall sense of luxury. The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, combined with a floating central control screen, further highlights the vehicle’s technological appeal. Notably, the entire series comes equipped with the advanced DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit, supporting full-scene intelligent voice control, map desktop, integrated music, ONE ID, and three-finger global gesture recognition, among other features.
The 2025 Song PLUS EV is equipped with over ten DiPilot intelligent driving assistance functions, including Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Lane Departure Assistance (LDA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB). The new model also offers a 50W wireless phone charger, a heated steering wheel, and an integrated in-car ETC system.
All models of the 2025 Song PLUS EV are equipped with an eight-in-one powertrain, featuring a heat pump air conditioning system, a new high-power blade battery, and core technologies such as direct cooling and heating for the battery. The vehicle's energy consumption is as low as 13.86 kWh per 100 kilometers, and the battery can charge from 30% to 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes. In terms of power, the vehicle offers two motor options: a 150 kW motor (with a maximum torque of 310 Nm) and a 160 kW motor (with a maximum torque of 330 Nm). The powertrain comes with either a 71.8 kWh or 87.04 kWh battery pack, with CLTC ranges of 520 km and 605 km, respectively.
