Based on the current images of the Song L, three paint colors have been revealed: pure black, silver, and rose gold.
Starting with the latest exposed pure black version, the vehicle has undergone a full black-out treatment, including the front and rear bumpers, wheel arches, and window trim. The wagon-like stance of the Song L pairs well with the pure black color. If the logo and wheels are also blacked out, similar to the new Tang model, the overall effect would be even more cohesive.
The silver version features a blacked-out A-pillar, creating a floating roof visual effect that enhances the sleek, coupe-like silhouette. The silver's texture is more pronounced under strong light, but in normal daylight or less intense lighting, it tends to resemble a pure white shade.
Like the silver version, the rose gold model also has a blacked-out A-pillar. The paint can shift between an orange hue and rose gold, depending on the lighting conditions. From the rear, the layered design becomes more noticeable. When paired with a matching interior, the rose gold version offers a more cohesive look.
The new Song L is set to launch in the fourth quarter of this year. As for the pricing, not much information has been disclosed yet, but rumors suggest a pre-sale price range of 250.000 to 300.000 RMB. Given BYD's usual pricing strategy, it's expected that the official price at launch will be reasonable.
