On November 1st, Li Auto announced its sales figures for October, revealing that the brand delivered 10.052 new vehicles, a 31.4% year-on-year increase. These sales numbers are quite impressive.
As a rising new brand, Li Auto made a significant impact in the mid-to-large SUV market with just one model, the Li ONE, in a short span of time. Now, as the successor to the Li ONE, can the Li Auto L8 continue its predecessor's success? Let’s look at its features.
Starting with the exterior, the Li Auto L8 features a clean and straightforward design with a distinctive front fascia, including a continuous daytime running light and a split headlight design. Notably, the light strip has been upgraded from a segmented three-zone design to a seamless, continuous light bar, giving the L8 a more premium look.
In terms of dimensions, the Li Auto L8 measures 5080 mm in length, 1995 mm in width, and 1800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3005 mm. These dimensions are quite impressive within its class. As a family SUV, the L8 comes standard with a 2+2+2 seating configuration, and all three rows of seats feature heating and electric adjustment functions.
Inside, the Li Auto L8 boasts a five-screen interactive system, including two continuous central control screens, a screen on the steering wheel, a heads-up display, and a rear entertainment screen. The traditional digital instrument cluster hasn’t been removed but is now integrated into the steering wheel, which is quite an innovative design.

This is a significant improvement over the Li ONE. However, every advantage has its trade-offs—while the L8 offers more power, its energy consumption is slightly higher. The NEDC pure electric range is 175 km, which may be lower than the Li ONE, but from my perspective, sacrificing some range for enhanced performance is a fair trade.
In terms of range, the Li Auto L8. equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender and a 42.8 kWh battery pack, can achieve a CLTC combined range of 1315 km and a WLTC combined range of 1100 km. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the L8's range-extender electric system includes an external power discharge function, with a 1100-watt, 220-volt standard power outlet inside the car and a 3500-watt power supply interface outside.
