When it comes to the NIO ES6. I’m sure most people are familiar with it. As one of the more popular pure electric SUVs on the market today, it has garnered significant attention from consumers. Recently, a friend of mine sold his Mercedes-Benz C-Class and replaced it with the NIO ES6 2024 Edition 75kWh (priced at ¥338.000). We can see that the NIO ES6 adopts a family-style design language, with a closed grille and geometric multi-beam headlights, giving it a futuristic appearance. Meanwhile, the wide and solid body layout indeed has a substantial presence. In terms of lighting configuration, the NIO ES6 supports adaptive high and low beams, automatic headlights, and AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) with cornering lights and front fog lamps, well-suited for daily use.

Moving to the side of the NIO ES6. the soft waistline design runs through from front to back, and the pillars have been blacked out to create a floating visual effect. It also features hidden door handles, 20-inch large wheels, and blackened exterior mirrors, enhancing the sporty feel. The original NIO ES6 comes with rear privacy glass, which not only protects privacy but also effectively blocks direct sunlight.

Rear Design:

The rear of the NIO ES6 is robust and full, with a narrower upper part and a wider lower part, giving it a powerful look. The through-type taillight assembly has been blackened, offering high recognition when lit at night, with an impressive lighting effect. Regarding the exterior design, I believe the NIO ES6 has a high aesthetic value that aligns with the tastes of today’s young consumers.

Interior Design:

Entering the front cabin of the NIO ES6. it features a minimalist interior design. The symmetrical dashboard layout looks well-organized. The light-colored interior tones combined with large areas of soft-touch materials provide a comfortable feel. The car is equipped with a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central control display, running the Banyan operating system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. Based on my personal experience, the NIO ES6 performs well in terms of vehicle intelligence, with smooth and responsive operations and a wide array of features such as GPS navigation, in-car internet, OTA updates, and 5G network support. It also allows app downloads and voice control, making it convenient to use with simple voice commands.

Driver Assistance:

This NIO ES6 comes equipped with four NVIDIA DRIVE Orin X driver assistance chips and the NIO Aquila driver assistance system, with a computing power of up to 1016 TOPS. It also features 33 high-performance sensing hardware components, providing automatic lane change assistance, ramp automatic exit (entry), highway navigation assist driving, L2-level driver assistance, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, and lane change assistance among other safety features. These functions are rich and enhance driving safety during daily use.

Dimensions:

The NIO ES6 measures 4854/1995/1703mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2915mm. For a person with a height of 1.76m, sitting in the front seat of the NIO ES6 and adjusting to a comfortable driving position, the headroom is about one and a half fists. The front seats also come with heating and driver's seat memory functions. Moving to the rear, the legroom has more than two fists of space from the front seat, and the headroom is also ample. The NIO ES6 delivers ample power output, providing immediate response on demand, which instills confidence in drivers during highway overtaking. The suspension tuning strikes a balance between comfort and sportiness, allowing the NIO ES6 to excel in both aspects. When driving on bumpy roads or over speed bumps, it effectively absorbs the impact, and with the soft seats, there is barely any noticeable bumpiness for rear passengers. Even when taking sharp turns at high speeds, the NIO ES6 maintains good stability without significant body roll.

Conclusion:

Overall, I believe the NIO ES6 offers a well-balanced performance. In terms of exterior and interior design, seating comfort, intelligent configuration, and power performance, it has strong product competitiveness compared to its peers. If your budget is around ¥300.000 and you’re looking for a high-quality pure electric SUV, the NIO ES6 is worth considering.
