Starting at 428.000 yuan, how much will the 2024 NIO ET7 sell for?

Recently, the 2024 NIO ET7 has opened for reservations and will officially announce its price at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. Given the current model's official guide price range of 428.000 to 506.000 yuan, I personally think the starting price of the 2024 NIO ET7 will likely still be around 400.000 yuan. If that's the case, it won’t be very competitive, especially considering the current NIO ET7's sales in March 2024 were only 713 units, even less than niche models like the Qichen D60 EV.

Of course, NIO's products are commendable, but their prices are relatively high, generally reaching the level of luxury brand models. For example, the NIO ET7. Comparable models from BBA brands, such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series, also start at around 400.000 yuan, and the NIO ET7 is no different. This is the brand's positioning, mainly targeting mainstream luxury fuel models, hence the comparable pricing. Therefore, it’s evident that the 2024 NIO ET7 won’t be priced too low.

In terms of appearance, the 2024 NIO ET7 basically remains consistent with the current model, continuing the minimalist design language of the NIO family with a lidar on the roof. The version in the official images features privacy glass for the rear windows and multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, with a refined design. Additionally, a new color called Moonlight Silver has been introduced, offering a good texture.

Starting at 428.000 yuan, how much will the 2024 NIO ET7 sell for?

As for dimensions, the specifics haven't been announced yet, but the 2024 NIO ET7 should be similar to the 2023 model. For reference, the 2023 model measures 5101/1987/1509 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3060 mm. For a mid-to-large sedan, these dimensions meet expectations and are in line with mainstream levels in its class. The 2024 NIO ET7 also features a through-type taillight and a new "EXECUTIVE EDITION" signature badge, with no major changes overall. This design remains relevant today but may cause some aesthetic fatigue. The car needs changes not in appearance or interior but in making the price more consumer-friendly to ensure better market performance.

The interior design of the 2024 NIO ET7 is also largely consistent with the current model, featuring a vertically arranged central control screen and an unchanged steering wheel. Details include added soft wrapping above the instrument panel and optimized HUD connection parts. Based on the seats in the official images, the new car features diamond-patterned decorations for better texture. The front seats support 18-way electric adjustment, offering a rear seat cushion lifting function. The 2024 NIO ET7's seatback reclines up to 82 degrees, with the rear screen's maximum tilt angle at 54 degrees. In the one-click comfort mode, the rear cushion automatically lifts (starting to adjust from 50 degrees).

For the rear seats, the 2024 NIO ET7 not only features two screens with adjustable positions but also a "floating island" in the center with wireless phone charging and storage compartments. The rear seats offer multiple massage modes, including back, lumbar, Thai, rest, and gentle options. There’s also NIO Link multi-screen super conference, allowing users to automatically sync meetings from the NIO Phone to the car screens upon entering. However, the actual experience will need to be evaluated later, as buying the car also requires purchasing a NIO Phone.

The 2024 NIO ET7 is equipped with a silicon carbide high-efficiency electric drive platform, standard dual-motor four-wheel drive system, with a maximum power of 480 kW and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 3.8 seconds. This model offers three different battery packs: 75 kWh, 100 kWh, and 150 kWh, with CLTC range of 550 km, 705 km, and 1050 km, respectively. In terms of power and range, the 2024 NIO ET7 meets current industry standards. On March 5th, NIO announced that the 150 kWh battery pack version will be launched in the second quarter, so there's anticipation for the actual range of the 1050 km version.

Zhanlan's Review:

Compared to the currently available model, the 2024 NIO ET7 has improvements, but they are not immediately apparent. The new model is expected to continue the current pricing, and if there is a difference, it won't be significant. If this is the case, it can be seen as adding value without increasing the price. However, in the current mid-to-large pure electric sedan market, this price is not very competitive. So, how much do you think the 2024 NIO ET7 will sell for?
